AIYAPPA PADA YATRA
Sri Sai Siva Vishnu Temple is the first in Australia to perform irumudi pooja and pada yatra to Aiyappa Swami. Devotees who take dhiksha under the guidance of Guruji, perform irumudi pooja and walk 5km to our temple in January each year! Even if you’re not taking diksha, all men, women and children are welcome to join us on this divine walk without carrying the irumudi. What a physically active way to uphold our traditional culture! Upon reaching the temple, the irumudi containing coconuts filled with ghee, are opened and offered to Aiyappa with the ghee abishekam. All participants immerse in this spiritually awakening experience with bajans, arthi and annadhanam dinner! All are welcome. Booking is essential.

KALYAN UTSAV EVENTS
Venkateswara Kalyan, Shiva Parvathi Kalyan (Meenakshi Kalyanam), Sita Rama Kalyan and Tulasi Vivah are major utsav annual events at Sri Sai Siva Vishnu Temple in celebration of Hindu new years, Sri Rama Navami and Tulasi Devi, respectively. As the unison of our soul – Jeevathma, with the almighty Paramathma is inevitable, so too is the exalted bliss and blessings we receive from witnessing the divine unison of the deities. All are welcome to participate in this very auspicious special events which occur in accordance to the Hindu panchang calendar. These divine wedding ceremonies are not to be missed! DHIK VIJAYAM VISITS
Every year, Guruji and Sri Sai Siva Vishnu Temple visit regional areas around Australia to bring devotion to your destination. Upon performing the invocation pooja at our temple, all devotees and families travel with Guruji on our bus to regional areas such as Ballarat and Geelong in Victoria. The synchronous chant of our temple taraka mantra “Krishna Rama Govinda Hari Rama Krishna Govinda!” resonates throughout our journey. Having reached the destination, Guruji is welcomed by the local devotees to commence the divine pooja, bajans, arthi and annadhanam at the venue. The return bus charter home is a true reflection of the day spent in quality inner peace and unity. All are welcome to join us.

VARALAKSHMI POOJA
Varalakshmi Viratham is an auspicious Hindu event important for ladies and their family’s welfare. Devout women perform the Varalakshmi Deepa pooja to invoke Goddess Lakshmi in their lamps under the guidance of Guruji. Their husbands tie the sacred yellow thread (saradu) to fulfil their prayer. Everyone is welcome to join this unique & divine ceremony.

RIG YAJUR UPAKARMA
Annual changing of yagnopaveetha sacred thread is an important event for Hindu men. The Rig Yajur Upakarma is officiated under the guidance of Guruji at Sri Sai Siva Vishnu Temple for all ages. For those who are changing thread for the first time, Pratama Upakarma is a hallmark event to be officiated at our temple. Upanayana sacred thread initiation is also performed by Guruji at our temple or at your venue.

HANUMAN JAYANTHI
Hanuman Jayanthi is a joyous event at Sri Sai Siva Vishnu Temple indeed! Lord Anjaneya is celebrated, revered and invoked by divine bajans, chours chants and prayers. As the sublime sounds resonate, Hanuman himself appears in Guruji to bless all those who witness and participate in this auspicious celebration. All are welcome to join us for this special annual event in December/January.

Each year in September, Lord Ganesha visits us to shower his blessings! He is the ultimate remover of obstacles! Following the Ganesh Chathurthi pooja, the festival continues for 10 days with special prayers to Ganesha each evening. Handmade clay Ganesha made by Guruji’s sishya is also inaugurated. Eco-friendly clay Ganeshas will be available for purchase from temple for your home pooja. On the final Visarjan day, the clay Ganeshas are celebrated and immersed in water with Visarjan procession!

SHIVARATHRI POOJA
Mahashivarathri is a soul awakening celebration indeed. This special event pertaining to Lord Shiva is a penance of purification that revitalises our mind, body and spirit.
